The impressive National Theatre of the Deaf operates under a noble and genuine mission “to produce theatrically challenging work of the highest quality” and “perform these works” through sign language as well as seeking, training and employing Deaf artists in a way “that will educate and enlighten the general public” about Deaf culture.

Beginning from small roots in 1967, the NTD now has had the pleasure of performing over 78 national tours throughout the nation, visiting all fifty states!  The NTD has also performed 30 international tours, clocking in at well over seven thousand performances worldwide!  This impressive company has now rightfully earned its place in American theatrical history as being the oldest, touring theatre that continuously produced shows.

“NTD has received critical acclaim for its adaptations of classic literature (Chekhov, Voltaire, Homer, Moliere, Ibsen and Puccini) as well as for original works by the Company.”

The Little Theatre of the Deaf, which was formed in 1968, offers fantastic shows for young ones across the nation as well as around the world whenever they tour!  Having performed for tens of thousands of children in theaters and schools, The LTD is now booking their 2012-2013 Touring Season, so make sure contact them today if you’re interested!
